Yin Yoga x Breathwork
Retreat in Phuket
A 3-night, 4-day retreat to gently release the noise of everyday life, accumulated emotions, and bodily tension through breathwork and yin yoga — held beside Phuket’s quiet sea and breeze.
The emerald-blue Andaman Sea, the light, and the surrounding nature will kindly support you through this process of purification.
The theme of the retreat is “Purification.”
Purification is a practice of stripping away what no longer serves you and returning to your essential self.
Nature moves in cycles of cleansing and creation — the seasons, the moon’s phases, the ebb and flow of the tides.
Likewise, we too need times to replenish and prepare ourselves for a new cycle of life.
At the heart of the retreat are deep-release breathwork and the quiet practice of yin yoga.
“Rebirthing” breathwork is a transpersonal therapy that works on bodily memories and past trauma imprinted since the moment of birth, powerfully guiding participants toward release and healing.
During free time, you may relax on a private beach, enjoy spa treatments or traditional Thai massage, or explore the vibrant underwater world by kayak or snorkeling — all at your own pace, allowing you to fully savor Phuket’s restorative qualities.
In this extraordinary setting and within a supported state of awareness, embark on a journey of renewal as you prepare for the year ahead.
We invite you to join us for a time of purification and regeneration for body and mind.

Your Teachers

Yin Yoga with Chiharu
Chiharu is a beloved yin yoga teacher trainer, with a focus on healing and energy.
As the founder of the Japan Yin Yoga Association, she has students throughout Thailand, Japan, and globally through her online programs.
Her husband is Adrian Cox, a yoga teacher and the founder of Yoga Elements and Breath Yoga.
Message
After experiencing physical and mental illness that began in my early teens and made life difficult for nearly 25 years, I realized I couldn't continue living like this and, as a last resort, I tried meditation.
I felt a dramatic release from my own mind and for the first time I realized the answer was not outside, but within me.
After that, I learned various energy work and healing techniques, initially with the goal of healing myself, and then I began sharing my work in the hope that it would be of some help to others who were suffering in the same way.
While trying to calm my mind through meditation, I realized the importance of the connection between the body and mind, and of grounding the body, so I started yoga. After trying out various styles of yoga, I found that Yin Yoga was the one.
Meditation untangles the knots in the mind, and Yin Yoga untangles the knots in the body and energy. When everything is untangled and reset, we reunite with our original, radiant selves.
When you relax and regain your radiant self, the answer to the question, "Who am I?" will naturally become clear.
Breathwork with Adrian Cox
From Seattle, USA originally and since he began teaching yoga in 1999, Adrian left the US to found the Yoga Elements school of yoga in Bangkok. Yoga Elements was one of the first yoga centers in Thailand and during its 18 years of operation, it garnered a highly esteemed reputation for quality. It was described as “Easily Bangkok’s best studio” by Travel and Leisure (25 Top Yoga Studios Around the World) and as “Bangkok’s most inspiring place to study yoga” by Bangkok Post (reader choice awards). I have taught workshops, and trainings worldwide, and was featured at the Yoga Journal conferences in Moscow and Bangkok.

Message
Congruency is the most powerful message I communicate. I teach what I practice. A daily practice of yoga, breathing, and meditation for 25 years. My insatiable curiosity and drive for learning has opened the world to me, and led me to learn with many masters. I am passionate about what I do.
Breathing is our birthright, and changing your relationship with breath can make it easier to be more of the person you want to be, when you need to be. Over centuries and longer, different approaches to understanding and working with breath have emerged. I’ve studied those disciplines for decades, and integrated them into the work I do with BreathYoga. I welcome you to a journey of healing and transformation.
Location - Amatara Welleisure Resort
Amatara — an intimate resort perched above a tranquil sea.
The sound of the waves, the sea breeze, the gradations of sunset — nature itself becomes the therapist, inviting you into a deep state of relaxation.
One of the main reasons we hold this retreat in Thailand is simple: to let you experience the country’s lush tropical nature and the warm hospitality of its people — the famed “Land of Smiles” — and to give yourself time away from the pressures of everyday life.
It’s precisely because of this extraordinary location that the retreat’s theme of “Purification” comes alive. Time spent reconnecting with yourself amid warm seas and verdant surroundings is more than a holiday; it opens the senses and becomes a deeply imprinted experience for body and mind.
